Programme Highlights:

Contract No. CV/2022/07 at Long Bin, Yuen Long encompasses site formation works for land platforms covering approximately 7 hectares. The contract includes the construction of a Public Transport Interchange (PTI) with charging facilities for electric vehicles, construction of bored pile wall, RC retaining wall, noise barrier, junction improvements at Castle Peak Road, land decontamination and ancillary works such as drainage, sewerage, waterworks, and landscaping. These efforts aim to support the forthcoming public housing developments at Long Bin. During the site visit, participants will gain insights into site formation and infrastructure works. This includes the construction of the PTI main structure, retaining walls, roadworks, and various ancillary activities like drainage and sewerage works. Participants will have opportunities to appreciate the challenges and solutions encountered in construction within difficult geological conditions, as well as the complex interface issues related to nearby projects, which are located along Long Tin Road and Castle Peak Road. Reminder: 1) Attendees must bring their own PPE. (including safety shoe) hold a valid safety Green Card or HKIE Member Card, reflective jacket and safety helmet will be provided by the contractor. 2) Successful applicants who fail to show up on the event date without prior notice or acceptable reasons will be excluded from attending the Civil Division and Geotechnical Division technical visits for a period of three months.
