About the seminar
Development of the Lok Ma Chau Loop–Main Works Package 1 comprises construction of the slip road ST01 connecting Lok Ma Chau Road and Fanling Highway/San Tin Highway. This is a pioneering project adopting an innovative Full-Span Erection Method for the bridge construction to enhance site safety and minimise the impact on road users.
Full-span bridge deck spanning across Fanling Highway was successfully erected in August 2024. Installation of other bridge decks are proceeding in full swing. The technical seminar will focus on discussion of how the project adopted the innovative construction method to erect the bridge segments. The speakers will also introduce the site constraints and challenges encountered during the implementation of the innovative bridge erection method. The seminar will also introduce the new surveying technology adopted to take the innovative bridge erection idea forward.
