Programme Highlight

Development of the Loop– Main Works Package 1 comprises construction of the slip road ST01 connecting Lok Ma Chau Road and Fanling Highway/San Tin Highway. This is a pioneering project adopting an innovative Full-Span Erection Method for the bridge construction to enhance site safety and minimise the impact on road users.  Full-span bridge deck spanning across Fanling Highway was successfully erected in August 2024. Installation of other bridge decks are proceeding in full swing.  The site visit will focus on showcasing how the project adopted the innovative construction method to erect the bridge segments. Members will also be introduced the new surveying technology adopted to take the innovative bridge erection idea forward.

• The maximum number of participants is limited to 30 on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to members of HKIE Civil Division and CIHT Hong Kong.
• Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2024-25 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
• Green card and safety shoes are required for the visit.
