Programme Highlight
To ease the traffic congestion, Central Kowloon Route was launched to solve the traffic congestion problem across central Kowloon. The journey time between Yau Ma Tei and Kowloon Bay during peak hours is expected to be shortened from 30 minutes to about 5 minutes only. The KTE project consists of the construction of Kai Tak Interchange, including vehicular bridges, underpasses and at-grade link roads, and the Kai Fuk Footbridge.
This site visit will begin with a brief introduction of the Central Kowloon Route Project and the Kai Tak East Project in the Community Liaison Centre (CKR-CLC). It is then followed by a guided tour in CKR-CLC and will move to the Kai Tak Road Footbridge to introduce the construction of bridges and some civil works at Kai Fuk Road. A Q&A session will be hosted by the project team after the site walk. Participants will be dismissed at CKR-KTE office (address: 2, Kai Fuk Road, Kowloon Bay).walk.
