HKIE Civil Division
Programme Highlight
On 5 October 2021, the DEVB published a circular DB TC(W) 6/2021. There, the Government formulated a framework (“SOP Framework”) of security of payment provisions (“SOPP”), which was to be applied to all public works contracts.
The “Construction Industry Security of Payment Bill” has been undergoing the legislative council’s (LegCo) process now. It is vital for engineering practitioners to better equip themselves with solid knowledge about the scheme, while witnessing the implementation of this industry-changing practice.
This seminar will show you a clear view on the procedural matters relating to adjudication, including payment dispute events, notice of adjudication, appointment of adjudicator, adjudication rules, decision and enforcement, challenging the decision.
