Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that involves the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, and railways. The civil engineering sector faces fierce competition, with many companies operating in the industry. They place a greater emphasis on research and development, product innovation, channel construction, and customer relationship management in an attempt to gain a larger market share and competitive edge. Companies in the civil engineering industry typically collaborate with governments and large corporations, and the reputation of a company is extremely important. The leading enterprises in the civil engineering industry have already occupied a significant competitive advantage and brand effect, which poses barriers to new companies. In 2022, the total output value of China's civil engineering and construction industry reached 9,101.651 billion yuan. The intense competition in this vast market requires professional and robust technical skills, as well as clear and accurate communication. Being able to speak, and speak well, in Mandarin is one of the essential key factors. This workshop aims to help participants master the professional vocabulary of the civil engineering field, enhancing their communication skills at work, and enabling them to communicate and interact more confidently within the civil engineering domain.

香港普通話研習社 朱硯梅老師

朱硯梅老師擁有中國語文及文學文學士學位，國家語委普通話水平測試 一級乙等證書，香港考試及評審局普通話高級水平測試優異，擁有十幾年的教學經驗，性格和藹可親，耐心盡責，對教學充滿熱誠。朱老師教授各類普通話課程，教學經驗豐富，教學範圍遍及公司機構、中小學。朱老師的教學方式以靈活見稱，其教學表現獲得良好口碑。

Teacher Zhu Yanmei holds a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature and a Certificate of Putonghua Proficiency Test Grade 1-B from the National Language Committee. She has achieved an excellent rating in the advanced level Putonghua proficiency test by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority and possesses over a decade of teaching experience. Known for her kind, approachable, patient, and responsible personality, she is passionate about teaching. Teacher Zhu has taught a variety of Mandarin courses and has extensive teaching experience that spans corporations, primary, and secondary schools. She is renowned for her flexible teaching style, and her teaching performance has earned her a positive reputation.

The number of in-person participants is limited to 70, and the number for online participants is limited to 500 on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to members of the Civil and Geotechnical Division.
