Technical Seminar on MTR East Rail Line Cross Harbour Extension

Programme Highlight
The East Rail Line extends its railway services from Hung Hom Station to Admiralty Station as the new terminal station, via the new Exhibition Centre Station at Wan Chai North.
With the new extension, East Rail Line becomes the fourth cross-harbour railway line. It will directly connect the Northeast New Territories, Central Kowloon, and Hong Kong Island. Passengers is able to reach the commercial, convention, exhibition and financial hubs in the Wan Chai North and Admiralty areas without changing lines. With four interchange stations connecting five existing railway lines, the new extension enhances the overall railway network of Hong Kong. This seminar will cover the challenges during construction, behind-the-scene in construction, operations and promotion and catalyst to successful launch.

Ir Walter Lam Project Manager, MTR Corporation
Ir Lam is a Project Manager in MTR Corporation, who participated in the East Rail Line Cross Harbour extension for more than 10 years from the planning stage to the railway opening. He also contributed to other major railway projects in Hong Kong in the past 20+ years including West Island Line, and Tsuen Kwan O Extension.

This seminar is free of charge. The number of participants is limited to 80 and accepted on a first-come first served basis. Priority will be given to Members of the Civil Division.
