Programme Highlight

World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) will celebrate the World Engineering Day 2022 (WED2022) (on 4th March each year) under the theme “Build Back Wiser – Engineering the Future”. WED2022 is a world-wide activity which recognizes and connects engineers of different sectors across the world to share and promote engineers and their activities towards advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.  The Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) and Civil Division (CVD) of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers are delighted to jointly organize a half-day webinar on the topic of “Building a Smart, Green and Resilient City - The Case of Tung Chung New Town Extension” to celebrate WED2022.  This webinar will cover a range of related topics in Tung Chung New Town Extension, including concept of a smart, green and resilient city, technology of deep cement mixing method, smart living by common utility tunnel as well as sustainable development of eco-shoreline, river park and river revitalization.
