Programme Highlights
The topic of off-site reinforcement bar (rebar) processing with a high degree of automation has become more and more important in the construction industry. With the support from Development Bureau and Housing Department of HKSARG, Hong Kong’s construction industry has a tendency to use off-site prefabricated steel reinforcing bar products to help relieve the pressure on demand for skilled construction workers, reduce material wastage and improve site safety. This seminar aims to bring in the worldwide practice of the use of automation for construction steel processing and its latest development in Hong Kong construction industry. It will highlight the issues related to safety, environmental management, waste reduction, efficiency, testing and trade practice standardization.
