Programme Highlight
The Liantang / Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point (BCP) (LT/HYW BCP) is the seventh land crossing between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This BCP serves to connect the expressway systems in Hong Kong and Shenzhen so as to shorten the travelling time between Hong Kong and eastern Guangdong, southern Fujian and Jiangxi, and thus help facilitates greater regional cooperation and development in future.
This contract, CV/2012/08 includes the construction of a dual two-lane trunk road (with about 0.4 km of at-grade road and 4.8 km of tunnel) connecting the Fanling Interchange with the proposed Sha Tau Kok Interchange; the provision and installation of ventilation system, E&M works and building services works for Lung Shan tunnel and Cheung Shan tunnel and their portal buildings, and the construction of a Tunnel Administration Building adjacent to Wo Keng Shan Road and the associated landscaping works, drainage / sewerage, waterworks, utilities and traffic engineering works.
This visit will focus on the tunnelling part, and participants will be able to have a first-hand view and understand the ongoing tunnelling works using the tunnel boring machine (TBM).

- Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2016-17 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
