• Programme highlight

Pre fabrication is nothing new and has been used for decades in industries such as aeronautics and the automobile industry. However, tying both DfMA and MMC together on large scale construction projects is relatively new.

The advantages of using DfMA over traditional construction methods has many positive impacts on the construction process including sustainability, quality improvement, cost reduction, less labour dependence and etc.

We are going visit the Zhuhai Plant of Guangdong Hailong Construction Technology Co.,Ltd which is located in Fushan Industrial Park of Zhuhai City. It sprawls over 90,000 square meters and equipped with 9 automatic production lines. The Zhuhai Plant awarded ISO9001 quality system accreditation, ISO14001 environmental management system as well as the ISO45001 occupational health and safety system in 2019. The concrete batching facility inside Zhuhai Plant was also accredited with QSPSC by HKQAA in the same year.

HK$480 for members (including transportation and lunch).

Prior registration is required. The number of participants is limited to 45 (priority will be given to HKIE-Building Division and Civil members). The seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Only successful applicants will be notified via email on or before 1 November 2019. Please be informed that if you are not being contacted after submitting your application, you may consider your application unsuccessful.
