Date and time:
Saturday, 8 June 2019, 9:30am –11:30noon
Venue:
Yau Ma Tei MTR Station
Programme highlight:
Central Kowloon Route (CKR) is a 4.7 km-long, dual 3-lane trunk road linking Yau Ma Tei Interchange in West Kowloon and the road network at Kai Tak Development and Kowloon Bay in East Kowloon, forming a trunk route through Central Kowloon. CKR will provide an alternative express route to relieve the traffic congestion on the major east-west corridors. In conjunction with the construction of CKR, we will also improve the community environment in the vicinity, including providing greening and landscape, reprovisioning public facilities, preserving cultural heritage and adopting different environmental measures during the construction period.
This Contract consists of the construction of Yau Ma Tei Access Shaft for Central Tunnel, cut-and-cover tunnel at Yau Ma Tei, reconstruction of a portion of Gascoigne Road Flyover and temporary reprovisioning of affected facilities, e.g. Jade Hawker Bazaar, Yau Ma Tei Public Library, Maternal and Child Health Centre and Methadone Clinic.
This technical visit will start with a brief introduction to the project and follow by site walk to major activities on site.
