Stonecutters Bridge, which will be one of the longest span cable-stayed bridges in the world upon completion, is a major part of Route 8 between Tsing Yi and Cheung Sha Wan. It has a clear span of about 1018 m, crossing the Rambler Channel to the entrance to the busy Kwai Chung Container port. This visit will highlight the methods of construction and the associated difficulties.
