Laser Scanning is a technology for analysing real-world objects or environment by collecting data on its shape. The collected data can be used to construct digital, three dimensional models. Laser scanning has a wide variety of applications, including industrial design, prototyping and protection of historical relics. The speakers will share his experience of using laser scanning in the area of historical relic protection in China.
