Programme Highlight
During the Major rainstorms in 2000, 2006 and 2008, server flooding incidents occurred at Happy Valley and adjacent areas. To relief the flooding hazards of the Happy Valley catchment, the HKSAR has commissioned three major flood relief projects in the northern Hong Kong Island.
Contract DC/2012/03 is one of the three flood relief projects in the northern Hong Kong Island. This included construction of an underground stormwater storage tank with implementing a water harvesting systems. The reclaimed water will be used for on-site irrigation and for toilet flushing. This water recovery system gathering and reusing water, which providing an effective and sustainable method for water resources conserving in Hong Kong.
This technical visit will start with a brief introduction to DC/2012/03 and follow by site walk to major facilities on site.
