Date, time & venue The HKIE Seminar/Forum on Constitutional Development of Hong Kong
The HKSAR Government has published the Consultation Document of Methods for Selecting the Chief Executive and for Forming the Legislative Council in 2012 to consult the public on how the two elections in 2012 can be conducted. Being the professional body that embraces eligible voters of Functional Constituency in the Engineering and the Information Technology, and with a view to provide a platform for representatives from concerned parties to present their views on the Consultation Document and the constitutional development of Hong Kong, a seminar on the subject will be held on Saturday, 9 January 2010 at 10:00am (Registration starts at 9:40am) at Room N001 at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University The Seminar will be chaired by the Immediate Past President, Ir Peter Y WONG. Subsequent to the Seminar, a forum on Constitutional Development of Hong Kong will be held on Wednesday, 20 January 2010 at 6:30pm (Registration starts at 6:00pm) at the HKIE HQs for members to exchange views on the subject. The Forum will also be chaired by Ir Peter Y WONG. You are cordially invited to attend the forum and express your views. In order to collect views from members on the subject, it is suggested that each Division/Committee is invited to nominate five representatives to attend the forum. Indeed, all members of your Division/Committee are welcome to attend and express views at the forum.
