Speakers:

Ir Dominic Cheung is the former Deputy Chief Fire Officer of the Fire Safety Command in Hong Kong Fire Services Department.  Through his 34 years of service in the Department, he has amassed profound experience in many aspects of Fire Services duties, including operational rescue, fire fighting, fire protection, training and administration.  Ir Cheung had been the President of IFireE HK Branch in 2010 and the Chairman of HKIE Fire Division for Session 2010/2011.  

Programme Highlights

Tunnels by nature have limited accessibility for fire fighting and rescue.  Fire risk in tunnels is a result of the working of a system involving design provision, operation, emergency response and tunnel use, i.e. a systemic product.  Where tunnels are becoming ever larger, longer and more complex, the systemic product needs to be able to deal with this.  The Seminar will give an insight of fire fighting strategies of tunnels of different types, road and rail.
