In his 2013 Policy Address, the Chief Executive announced the proposal of setting up a recreational landmark – “Kai Tak Fantasy” (KTF) on the site of the former runway tip in an ‘edutainment’ destination (i.e. a hybrid of education and maritime and transportation history.

In the quest for creative thoughts and design excellence, an international ideas competition will be held with a view to optimising the potential of KTF for developing into a world class tourism and entertainment hub taking due account of the synergy effect with the Energizing Kowloon East (EKE) initiatives, and thus facilitating the transformation of Kowloon East to enhance the economic development of Hong Kong.

Participants are welcomed to give the views on the planning and design requirements of KTF in the meeting.
