Arup Inno Vision Lecture Series
(Supported by the HKIE Civil Division)
Programme highlights
Our city relies on a complex web of systems and services to thrive. Contemporary systems thinking is bereft of a converging mechanism to deal with current drivers of urban changes. “Smart Green Resilient” offers one such approach, providing the necessary direction to synchronise multiple planning aims into a wide-ranging yet integrated objective to meet the challenges of the “new normal”. The lecture will present Arup’s innovative ‘Smart, Green, Resilient’ philosophy which was developed from its extensive participation in East Asia’s urbanisation, serving as a conceptual framework to enhance the urban development process and forms a next-generation model of best practice.
