Programme Highlight

Façade express creative intent and play a crucial role to help buildings achieve greater sustainability. In the lecture, Rudi will look into innovative solutions for high-performance façade with new materials, including glass fibre reinforced concrete cladding, bio-reactive panels and the responsive self-shading system. He will also discuss future challenges and the way forward.

Speaker

Rudi leads Arup’s global façade practice and Berlin office. He has more than 20 years of experience in architectural and façade engineering with a focus on multidisciplinary sustainable projects. A trained architect and structural engineer, Rudi has been lecturing regularly and working on research projects at universities across Europe.
