Programme Highlight
With the support of the Education Bureau, we have launched the “See-vil” Engineering Programme 2015/16. The aim of the programme is to encourage our younger generation, mainly secondary school students, to learn more about the construction industry and how it relates to our daily life. In the broad context of civil engineering in Hong Kong, two topics have been selected – “Railways” and “Bridges”.
Upon completion of site visits to Shatin-Central Link – Kai Tak Station and Associated Tunnels; Express Rail Link Kowloon Terminus Station; Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Section; and workshops on railways and bridges, a debriefing seminar will be held on 16 July 2016 in which 36 secondary school students will present what they have learned from the programme and express in their view how civil engineering have benefitted the community.
