Programme Highlight

Central-Wanchai Bypass (CWB) is a strategic road planning scheme along the north shore of Hong Kong Island to ameliorate the traffic congestion problem along the Gloucester Road – Harcourt Road – Connaught Road Central corridor.

Contract HY/2009/19 is a contract of the CWB Project. The project includes the construction a 300m long tunnel at North Point; modification of section of Island Eastern Corridor; as well as associated works including landscaped deck, noise barrier and noise semi-enclosure.

This technical visit will start with a brief introduction to HY/2009/19 and participants will then join a site walk to major facilities.

• Number of participants is limited to 20 on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to members of HKIE Civil Division.

• Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2016-17 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
