Programme Highlight

The SCL Cross Harbour Tunnel, under SCL Contract 1121, will connect the future Hung Hom station to the other side of Victoria Harbour at Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter. This cross harbour tunnel consists of mainly Immersed Tube Tunnel with around 90m of Cut & Cover Tunnel at the Hung Hom side. All immersed tube tunnel elements will be pre-fabricated inside the casting yard at Shek O.

This technical visit will include a brief introduction to SCL 1121 project and a site walk to major facilities such as casting basin, reinforcement bending yard and concrete batching plant.

• Number of participants is limited to 20 on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to members of HKIE Civil Division.

• Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2016-17 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
