Programme Highlight
The speaker will introduce the construction methods and sequence with relative plant and equipment for marine bridge foundation construction. The on-site operation and frontline experience in some local marine bridge projects will be shared with members. The piling procedures and relevant test procedures of marine piles will be introduced. The major differences between land piling and marine piling will be discussed in terms of risks, type and quality of concrete, and set-ups.

Mr. CHENG Tak Sum
Mr. Cheng is currently the Senior Construction Manager in Shanghai Tunnel (HK) Co., Ltd. He has worked in the contractor sector for more than 52 years and has extensive experiences in site supervision and management of large-scale civil engineering projects including, roadworks, tunnels, deep shafts, bridge structure and reclamation works in Hong Kong, especially marine works.
