Programme highlight
The Belt and Road Initiative is the strategic vision for the future development of Mainland China as well as the Southeast Asia Region, as it would lead to extensive infrastructure construction in particular the development of new rail and transportation systems for establishing the international economic cooperation corridors along the ‘Belt and Road’ countries or cities.
To equip young civil engineers to take up the challenges brought by the Belt and Road Initiative, HKIE Civil Division is organising an overseas delegation to Malaysia in February 2017. Participants will visit major infrastructure developments in Kuala Lumpur, and join exchange activities with groups of Malaysian professional engineers and institutional representatives. Visit to some major attractions of Kuala Lumpur will also be arranged.
