Programme highlight:
The Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point (LT/HYW BCP) is the seventh land crossing between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This BCP will connect with the expressway systems in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, shorten the travelling time between Hong Kong and eastern Guangdong, southern Fujian and Jiangxi, and greatly facilitate future regional cooperation and development.

This contract, CV/2012/08, will construct a dual two-lane trunk road (with about 0.4km of at-grade road and 4.8km of tunnel) connecting the Fanling Interchange with the proposed Sha Tau Kok Interchange, provision and installation of ventilation system, E&M works and building services works for Lung Shan tunnel and Cheung Shan tunnel and their portal buildings, Tunnel Administration Building adjacent to Wo Keng Shan Road and associated landscaping works, drainage / sewerage, waterworks, utilities and traffic engineering works.

This visit will focus on the tunneling part. Participants will get a first-hand view and understanding of the ongoing tunneling and blasting works.

- Number of participants is limited to 20 on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to members of HKIE Civil Division.
- Applicants who have already successfully registered to or participated in more than FIVE (5) visits organised by Civil Division in the session 2016-17 will be given lower priority during the process of registration.
